Hansa was founded by Klaus Fricke in 1979 and takes its name from a big city in Germany. Over the last 30 years Hansa has earned a reputation for high-quality printing and excellent service. Hansa Print was awarded the Sappi Gold Printer of the Year Award in 2003, 2005 and 2007. In 2015, with the retirement of Klaus Fricke, the company's existing directors took over management and is now known as Hansa Digital and Litho Printing (Pty) Ltd. Hansa is now Level 1 BEE accredited.
